1979

John Chatzigiannoglou envisioned the creation of a modern hotel with European standards that would acoomodate the visitors of Didymoteicho and the wider region.

By the end of 1979 that vision became reality and the hotel was inaugurated by G. Rallis, the prime minister of Greece.

He named the hotel “Plotini” as it was built across the hill of ancient Plotinopolis and the managing company kept his name to honor this pioneer businessman to this day.
